MONICA QUINTERO - DIRECTOR OF PROMOTIONS AND MARKETING

Monica comes to Skyline with more than 12 years of experience as a newscaster.  While she's known for her work in front of the camera, she's done just as much behind the scenes.  She freelanced on the side as a still and video photographer, edited videos and created websites.

She comes to Skyline from KSBY on the Central Coast.  Monica has worked for that NBC affiliate twice in her career. Prior to that, she was a Main Anchor for a station in Oklahoma City where in 2008 she was honored with the Excellence in Communication Media Award.  The Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services gives the award each year to one deserving journalist.

Monica also made stops in Wichita, Kansas and Houston, Texas where she was an anchor and reporter.  She even was the television host of a weekly special where she interviewed Christian artists and gave viewers an up close and personal look at their music.  She believes no matter what job she's doing, it's about helping bring people together as well as to build lasting relationships.  

She is semi-fluent in Spanish and very proud of her Latin roots.  She was born and raised in Spring, Texas and holds a Bachelors Degree in Radio/Television and a minor in Marketing from the University of Houston.  She was also very involved in her college and was Student Body President, a varsity cheerleader and President of her sorority, Chi Omega.

In her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with her two dogs-- Honey and Chugs.  Honey is a Teacup Chihuahua and Chugs is a Chihuahua/Pug mix.  She also loves to do anything outdoors such as hiking, going to the beach and even 4-wheeling.
